Endemic plants of El Pedregal / Modthern Nature, 2023

This site-specific installation is an outdoor garden that houses volcanic stones and endemic plants from El Pedregal, reinserted in the public space of Artz Pedregal as a gesture to recover its original space in relation to the natural elements that procure their existence in this area. Conceived as a living piece, it seeks to connect us sensitively and empathically with the knowledge of nature and its importance for daily life, as well as to promote re-enchantment with the natural world and our awareness of belonging to it.

*Plants: Biznaga ganchuda, conchita, cordoncillo, oak, garrote de piedra, hierba de aire, maguey, cress, myrtle, cactus from El Pedregal, palo loco, oreja de burro, sage, sotol, venenillo y yucca.

Piece made with the support of the Botanical Garden at UNAM.[
