FISURA + Arte Abierto present Ataraxia, a sound-visual performance resulting from the collaboration between sound artist José Orozco Mora and audiovisual artist Valeria Vicente. In this piece, both practices converge through the combined use of analog and digital technologies, exploring the intersections between the visual, the sonic, and the performative.
Valeria generates visual textures from chemical reactions with inks and various materials, in addition to manipulating closed-circuit video in real time. For his part, José works with modular synthesis and electroacoustic instruments designed and built by himself, creating an immersive experience where image and sound intertwine live.
