Paper pattern workshop with artist Isabel Nisenbaum

Arte Abierto´s Public Program activities start this 2026 with Tailor-made: Giving us the form from the paper, a workshop given by the artist Isabel Nisenbaum in which he will share paper pattern techniques that explore the transformation of a two-dimensional surface into a three-dimensional object. Through manual work and experimentation, participants will discover how paper can acquire body, volume and structure, opening up a space for reflection between form, material and process.

Isabel Nisenbaum

Mexican visual artist and existential therapist whose professional work is situated at the intersection of art, mental health and ecology. With a solid background at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” and in the Circle of Studies in Existential Therapy, he has developed a transdisciplinary practice that uses plastic expression as a tool for subjective exploration and human accompaniment.

As a researcher and active member of CEIBA (Center for Studies and Research in Biology and Art), her work focuses on artistic practice applied to environmental education and ecological justice. His proposal integrates the phenomenology of memory and the observation of nature, consolidating it as a relevant figure in the dialogue between the humanities and environmental conservation in Mexico.
