In this Derive, Rocío Martínez Barrera invites us to explore the life and thought of Vladimir Kaspé through a talk that delves into his vision of architecture as a practice inseparable from art, culture, and human experience.

Throughout this session, we will delve into the most intimate aspects of the architect's life and work, allowing us to understand not only his architectural output, but also the restless and profound spirit of the man who shaped some of the most iconic works of the Modern Movement in Mexico.

A lover of beauty in all its manifestations —architecture, music, literature, photography, and drawing—, Kaspé was a constant traveler and an enthusiastic participant in the country's cultural life. His rich and fertile expressive capacity was nourished by a life marked by sensitivity, intellectual curiosity, and a constant search for meaning.

This vision gave rise to his theoretical proposal of «Architecture as a Whole», an idea that distinguishes him and remains relevant for reflecting on the role of architecture in culture and everyday life.

If you couldn't join us you can watch the talk on our YouTube channel.
