Creating an art self-history

The seminar begins with a drawing exercise that proposes reconstructing one's own artistic practice from a non-linear perspective. Using an expanded timeline, each participant will identify experiences, travels, readings, works, and questions that have shaped their journey.

AUG.27.2026 _ Session 2
The studio as a laboratory

The second session takes place at María Cerdá Acebrón's studio (Colonia Obrera). The visit offers an approach to the studio as a place of experimentation, where drawing, archiving, and research are all part of the same creative process.

SEP.03.2026 _ Session 3
Thinking with space

The third session will take place inside the installation The Times of Air by Cristina Umaña Durán. Through an exercise in silence and observation, participants will explore the sensation of being inside an organism that breathes and changes size.

The closing will consist of a collective conversation about the tools built throughout the three sessions and the possible ways to incorporate them into each participant's practice.
